The church of Sv. Martin is of Roman origin and dates back approximately to the 13th century. Not long prior to this the Castle of Český Šternberk was established not far from here, to the estate of which the settlement belonged. The church has one oblong nave with an apse; the prism shaped tower in the frontispiece is definitely more recent. There is a Gothic entrance into the nave. The building was given a Baroque character in approximately the 18th century. Also the interior of the church is mainly of the Baroque style – with a central pillar altar from the beginning of the 18th century, an Early Baroque pulpit, a Rococo altar on the southern side. The other altar has a Pseudo-Baroque character.
